My heart, oh Lord, has no conceit,
My eyes possess no pride.
From worries great I do retreat
And peacefully abide.
I’ve calmed and quieted my soul,
And I shall not lament.
As near by mother’s side, I’m whole,
And I will stay content.
Oh Israel, be still and wait
And hope upon the Lord.
From morning light, the evening late,
And to forevermore!
