Exalted are You, God, my King!
I’ll praise Your name forevermore!
For all my days I’ll praise, I’ll sing!
Forever Your name I’ll adore!
How great You are and highly praised.
Your greatness none can comprehend.
Your deeds bestowed while children raised
Are taught with words that do not bend.
Our fathers sought Your majesty
And on You we shall meditate.
My mothers praised Your mastery
Of deeds that we shall venerate.
We children hear each memory:
Your goodness that we celebrate!
The Lord God’s love does brim with grace.
His anger slows and love abounds,
And all shall feel the Lord’s embrace –
His warm compassion that surrounds.
Creation praises You, O Lord.
Your faithful children do extol
Your kingdom’s glory far abroad
By telling all Your power’s role –
Proclaiming wide Your mighty feats
And splendor of Your “vast domain!”
Your kingdom never shall retreat,
And ages shall increase not wane.
The Lord is faithful in His word
And tender to His children made.
Around the weak His hand does gird,
Uplifting those with burdens weighed.
With hungry eyes all look to You.
In time, all food You will provide.
With open hand, You do renew
Until my soul is satisfied.
How righteous are the Lord’s pathways
And kind are all His holy deeds.
He draws near to the one who prays —
The earnest one who humbly pleads.
To those who fear Him He fulfills
And calms their cries with utter joy.
To those who love Him He does heal,
The wicked, though, He shall destroy.
My mouth now speaks to praise the Lord!
And soon I’ll lay aside my pen:
“All creatures praise the mighty Lord
Forever without end! Amen!”
