I will exalt my God from day to day.
His praise is on my lips now and always.
I will gladly take all joy in the Lord.
Let those heartbroken hear and be restored.
Let’s magnify the Lord and give Him fame.
Together may we lift Jehovah’s lovely name.
I searched for God and heard His voice full well.
He came to me and all my fears were quelled.
Those who seek His face radiate His light.
Their shame free faces brighten darkest nights.
This man who’s poor and weak fell down to cry.
His Lord cradled him and wiped his eyes dry.
You see God’s Angel who encircles us
And deliver those who in Him they trust?
O see and smell and taste how God is good!
How blessed the man through trials has withstood.
So find your fear in God, you saintly ones.
All those who do live with no neediness.
Indeed, young lions grow hungry and weak
But good things come if God is who you seek.
My children gather round to hear my speech,
“Oh may you fear the Lord” is what I teach!
Where stand the men, the women seeking life?
Desiring days with husband and with wife?
Then, keep your tongue from words of hate
And may your lips be noble, true, and straight.
Seek goodness so that evil must decrease.
Pursue God’s peace! Amen. Pursue God’s peace!
Upon the righteous God has trained His eye.
His ears await and listen for their cry.
He face turns from those evil from their birth,
Erasing their remembrances from earth.
Again, our Lord hears us when we cry out
And rescues us from painful, earthly bouts.
He draws nigh to the broken-hearted plight,
Delivering all whose spirits are contrite.
The righteous even suffer many ills,
But God, our Lord, does save them as He wills,
Protecting all His children’s bones that ache,
Indeed, not any bones will ever break.
The wicked faced, no doubt, an evil end,
And foes of righteousness will be condemned.
Yes, every servant’s life the Lord redeems.
Those servants in His fold our God esteems.
